Packing and shipping are calculated for each purchase, quoted to you and invoiced directly. Confirm the destination and quote before authorizing the service.
We normally dispatch within three business days after the item is released, all required payments are complete and shipping details are confirmed. Dispatch is carrier handoff, not a guaranteed arrival date.

Auction-item payments are handled by LiveAuctioneers’ payment processor. Our Bank of America POS terminal is used for separately invoiced ancillary packing and shipping services, not auction-item purchase prices.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are accepted for those POS service payments. All amounts are in U.S. dollars (USD).

Can I bid on this website?
Direct Cape bidding is being prepared and is not yet open. Current online auctions are held on LiveAuctioneers under Lee Gallery NYC. A LiveAuctioneers account does not currently provide a Cape bidder account or bidding access on this site.
What is the buyer’s premium?
The announced premium for future Cape direct auctions is 20%, compared with 25% on LiveAuctioneers. This saves 5% of the hammer price: $50 on a $1,000 winning bid. It is not a 5% reduction of the full invoice. Review the specific auction terms; taxes, packing, shipping and other disclosed charges are additional.
Are auction and direct-purchase items the same?
The two channels have separate inventories. Archive imagery is for reference and does not indicate an item is available to buy. Contact us about a specific object before making a purchase decision.
Can I pick up my purchase?
Yes, by prior arrangement at 27 Glen Rd, Westbury, NY 11590, United States. Contact us to confirm that your item has been released and to agree on a pickup time before visiting.
Can I return an item?
